They are gathered from public sources through official APIs, then screened by an automated verifier — which checks each one is a real, current opportunity — before it enters the catalog, with human spot-checks. Nothing unscreened is shown as a real program.
Your profile is private by default. Public evidence pages and friend comparisons are opt-in, and negative outcomes are never made public.
